Subject: One of the greats!
This film, which I've seen DOZENS of times (literally..) is SO great. I find so many new things every time I watch it. Example.. ever notice how the Coronet 'house' is the same for all the films? When Woody takes Ayyy-unn to the fair, when Woody is chewing away on his hot dogs, yet Ayyyyy-unn takes just a gingerly nibble? And what DOES Woody say to his mom to see if dinner is ready yet? All of these insubtleties!

Subject: A Teenager's First Time
A rundown of how to ask for a date and how to dress (as if for a job interview even though you're going to some fair in a school gym). The guy handing out the darts looked gay. Our young dater skipped the french kiss at the front door..but heck, from the sounds of it they were apparently playing hopscotch just the week before. A very nonhormonal evening was planned and executed.

The kid's father definitely needs to go on a major diet cause he's immense for that era. The older brother would be a good match for Jeannie, the older sister in the "Mollies Menarche" film. Bet Jeannie would have her hands full with him... and her blouse up over her head too, in no time.

The kids attack those hotdogs at the fair like they hadn't been fed in a week - a commonly seen action in scenes like that in those days...which denotes what would later on simply be referred to as "fun food" rather than actually (over)acted out as "fun" food.

Delithgtful if not a classic film of its genre. I'd give it 5 stars but that kitchen was depressing and you could see that the cups the kids had when they sat down to lay into those 'dogs, were clearly empty. Gotta call it careless filming.
